The team at Walter Hicks have worked very closely with Riebeek Cellars and Partnership Vineyards to development their new and individual GOLDCOAST range.

These wines are all true to their roots and not only offer excellent quality but also show real integrity to their South African origin.

We have chosen the grape varieties that are most closely associated with the Western Cape where they are renowned for their intense fruit flavours and easy style. Our wines are not only shining examples of their type, they also represent the start of your GOLDCOAST odyssey.

The PARTNERSHIP VINEYARDS project largely arose out of the need for justice and fair opportunity for disenfranchised local farmworkers. Recently Riebeek Cellars has implemented its Land Reform programme and is now committed to passing on its winemaking expertise and know-how to the 150 selected farmworkers, as well as giving them the use of its modern winemaking equipment and cellaring facilities.

PARTNERSHIP VINEYARDS is a unique project which will both create ownership for those who have never owned anything tangible and give employment to some without work. Already it is bringing hope and opportunity to the Riebeek Valley community, and Swartland region as the first vines thrive in this new vineyard scheme.
